Question – do you know where Balestier is at? Well I’d be lying if I did prior to penning this piece.

I was thoroughly enlightened to find out that Balestier is a subzone of Novena (mind-blown) so it’s a great consideration especially if you’re looking for a place that’s in Singapore Rest of Central Region.
If your interest in piqued, you’ll want to consider calling Verticus your new home. The development is a freehold single 28-storey high residence that screams sophistication in an old-school part of Singapore. Despite just being a single residential building, there are three stunning sky gardens within the sky-high building, which hosts multiple leisure and sports facilities.

Right from when you step into Verticus, you’ll feel so at home as you’re greeted by a welcoming pavilion that leads to more than just your apartment but provides a great escape from the outside world. Step on in and you’re greeted by a whole host of amenities, including a butterfly promenade (whut?)!

Head on up to the fifth storey for the first of the three sky terraces, which has your wellbeing at heart. Here you’re surrounded by numerous recreational and sports zones, such as the Blue Isle, which features lap and spa pools, a water lounge and an aqua gym. While at the Active Parkland zone, you’re treated to several exercise spaces, such as a junior rock wall, coupled with lawns and walkways to unwind and relax.
The 14th storey sky terrace then takes it up a notch and is evocative of a luxury resort. Choose to wine and dine, escape from reality with a book in hand or meditate in style and peace.
And last but not least, feel like you’re on top of the world on the 28th storey communal garden where you can delight in great views of the city skyline.
Besides all that Verticus offers from within, one of the biggest pulls has to be the Balestier area itself. Firstly, good food is aplenty in this area. For instance, there are EIGHT Bak Kut Teh stores in the area, so if you’re a massive fan of this dish, you may want to consider being in the area. Head on over to Balestier Market for the famous Founder Bak Kut Teh. Or perhaps if you’re looking for a solid plate of chicken rice, you’ll be delighted to know there’s a Boon Tong Khee outlet in the area. And if you’re willing to drive out a wee-bit further, you can enjoy plenty more options such as Newton Food Centre!
Seeing as the area is in Singapore’s RCR, you know you’re well connected, especially if you’re driving.

From Verticus, you’re just a 2 minutes’ drive away to CTE, and 3 minutes away from the PIE. And because you’re so near the city centre, you know you won’t ever be short of options – be it whether you’re looking for food or to shop. If you’re up for something closer to home, you’re a short walking distance away from Balestier Plaza, Zhongshan Mall and Shaw Plaza.

While we’re always looking to earn and grow our moola, we always need to remember health is wealth. Well if you’re at Verticus, you be close to Health City Novena, which will be Singapore’s largest healthcare complex. Here at this 17-hectatre health hub, you’ll have top hospitals alongside several other healthcare facilities to ensure you can worry less about any health emergencies.
